business mentors

When starting a company, any beneficial advice given to you is highly valued, and over the years, mentors have taken the time to attend events where they can share insights with teams which are just starting out in the industry. In these forums, they get to engage with start-up teams on a one on one level, thus giving them tips that can grow their companies to the next level.

There are many kinds of mentors that you will meet. Have a look.

Experienced entrepreneurs

This category is for the people who have been in company for long, and they have started many companies, learned from their mistakes and can now offer you insights on what to avoid as you begin your journey. Make sure that you talk to such a mentor to get the most out of the event.

Experts on subjects

Aside from entrepreneurs, subject experts are also very helpful in aiding you to find footing in the industry. Say for example that you are unsure of how best to formulate a company plan. An analyst can come in and look at what you need to have to get the most out of your venture, and they can guide you through it.

Investors

It’s often hard to get in touch with angel investors and venture capitalists if you lack the necessary connections. At these forums, you can get hold of an investor who can then introduce you to someone who can fund your venture. As you do this, make sure that you know how to pitch your company to get them interested.

Incubators and accelerators

These groups are very beneficial in the early stages of a start-up, and they can see you through the tough stages experienced when a company is trying to break into a new market. Many of them show up to such events in search of new teams to join their programs. They make great mentors.

Attorneys

If you are having legal trouble, this is the best place to seek out a lawyer who can help you work through your legal implications to ensure that your company can start devoid of hiccups.

Now that you know the importance of each mentor that you will meet at such events let’s go through some events scheduled to take place this year.

Meet Your Mentor Seminar

One of the concepts behind this event is that start-up teams must find ways in which they can place themselves in the market to make themselves visible to head-hunters. The most important thing for a start-up is to be in strategic locations.

The event will occur on the 16th of June, 2018 as from ten in the morning through to two in the afternoon at the University of Greenwich in the United Kingdom. The organizers, Career Nuggets, are working in partnership with the University of Greenwich as they seek to spread invaluable knowledge to people starting out in the industry.

At this event, you will have the opportunity to get information on ways to set yourself apart from the competition. You will also get to forge connections with people who will come in handy as you start and expand your operations.
